On the left computer open wirecast -> click on Broadcast -> Broadcast Settings -> Browse* -> Annotations*.
Browse* -> Desktop -> Summer 2012 -> find your class: NucE 401 -> NucE401_L01.mov -> Save
Annotations* -> type title: NucE 401 Lecture 01: 05-14-12
Click Save
Click on the Record icon to start on the Wirecast, a blue arrow should appear and audio levels should be registered
2. Open the Instructor PC
Open VNC Shortcut folder from your desktop.
Open ISU1 Instructor.vnc
Password: *use the encoders/general password to access: Usernames-Passwords page in the ELO Training Wikispaces. Else, this password will be given to you or you may ask for it.

Make sure you have your correct class on the connect page, otherwise you can search in shared meetings ->ELO, and look up your class
Start Microphone
Click on Connect My Audio (microphone symbol)
Click: Allow
Start Webcam
Click on Webcam symbol near the top
On the left, click on Start Sharing
Share Desktop
Click on Share My Screen in the middle
select Desktop, and click OK.
Click on Meetings, Record Meeting, and type NucE 401 Lecture 01: 05-14-12
Open Desktop Presenter and Minimize
Minimize VNC so that it does not interrupt the lecturer's presentation
Monitor the lecture through Wirecast, make sure you have the correct view on the right screen. Usually this will be a large view of the Instructor Computer with a small camera in the upper-left corner.
After the Lecture
1. Stop Wirecast
Click on Record (the blue arrow should disappear)
2. Go to Instructor PC (VNC)
Stop Adobe Connect
Click on the red dot at the top right
Click on Stop Recording
Stop Panopto Recording
Click on Stop
In the case that the wirecast recording failed, instructions on how to post a Panopto video are detailed in the Panopto page in the ELO Training Wikispaces.
Save Notes
Click File -> Save -> Desktop -> !Summer2012 -> NucE 401 -> Lecture Notes -> NucE401_L01_05_14_12.notebook -> Save
Click on File -> Export -> PDF -> Desktop -> !Summer2012 -> NucE401 -> Lecture Notes -> PDF -> NucE401_L01_05_14_12.pdf -> Save

Go to the Meetings tab in grey
Click on Shared Meetings tab in red
Click on Engineering - LAS Online Learning (ELO)
Select Summer 2012 EOL Credit Courses
Find NucE401
Click on Recordings
Select your recording -> click on Make Public -> Edit -> Click on the recording title: NucE 401 Lecture 01: 05-14-12 -> Edit Recording (A window will open with the recording) -> Select the part you want to cut with the arrows and click on Cut ->Save -> Exit the page. Edit the beginning, exit and then edit the ending by clicking on Edit Recording again.
On another tab, open the Blackboard Course Page
Click on Adobe Connect Recordings -> Build Content -> Web link
On the title write: NucE 401 Lecture 01: 05-14-12
On the URL, Copy+Paste the web link that is given in the Adobe Connect Recording from before.
Publish
Post Wirecast Video (View Posting Recordings page for more detailed instructions)
On a MAC desktop open Encoder Files folder -> Find appropriate semester folder -> Find course folder (in this case NucE 401) -> Pull up .MOV File -> Edit the video by pressing "i" whenever you want the lecture to start and "o" for the ending or simply drag the tabs to select any area you want to keep-> Click on Edit -> Trim to Selection -> Save -> Export to eocs1 -> firma -> NucE401 -> on the bottom chose as Export: Movie to Hinted Movie
Check the videos on Blackboard
Log in to Blackboard -> Choose the class NucE401 -> on Adobe Connect Recordings check that the correct edited lecture video opens, on Lecture Videos and Annotated Notes check that the correct edited lecture video opens and so do the notes.
